Boat Fishing

The winter months are spent in the pursuit of Cod In the Bristol Channel
Angling boats are booked by the clubs boat secretary Anywhere from Swansea to Minehead during the winter months.
The springtime see`s members afloat on the skerrie`s at Dartmouth, or the Shamble`s at Weymouth, looking for Plaice.
The summertime boat trips can be anywhere around the south coast the boat secretary booking angling trips in search of Bass, Pollack, Ling, Bream and Conger.

Notable Catches From the Boat

Terry Hancock and Mark Cary broke the club Blond Ray record twice within 1hr during a Cod fishing trip on Edwin John at Minehead. Phil Allan and Jason Brennan Broke the club record for Trigger fish twice in one day at Minehead during the, Bristol Channel boat championships.
Phil Allan and Rich Calvert also broke the club Tope record during these championships.

Some of the members fish all over Britain, Ireland, the Channel islands and anywhere else they can wet a line including Portugal, Mexico, Gambia. This year (2001) Phil Allan is trying Florida and has been given some tips by Geoff Flores, who is President of the B.C.C.
