1998 Tony Irwin won July Conger of the month with a 95lb eel.
1999 One member has gained third place at the B.C.C championships.

2000 Steve Anstey Won the B.C.C Associates Cup for the best Conger By a associate member.
2000 Pete Brennan was second place individual at the affiliated clubs B.C.C championships.

2001 Steve Anstey Won the B.C.C Scampi Cup top reef Conger award with his 53lb.08oz eel.
2001 The team was unlucky at the B.C.C championships this year just missing out 2nd
place by one eel as there was no third place awarded.

2001 The team of two entered into the B.C.F boat championships
Stu & Jason, did brilliant in the first round.
Stu was joint 2nd in the individuals and the team is in third place.
Bristol channel federation news second round,this was a difficult day with
one boat broken down and having to be towed. The team still gave it their best shot
and did well. The team is in 5th place, Stu is in 5th in the individuals.
Jason has pulled up from 16th position to 9th also winning the best specimen pool
with a small eyed ray. This is the second time in two trips the club has been in the
limelight well done boys.
Bristol Channel news 3rd round.This round was a struggle for everybody with species very
hard to find.
The team is in 4th place.
Stu is in 4th place individuals.
Jason is in 10th place individuals.
This is a very good effort and a final bit of luck in the last draw could see
us in the frame.
The final round was fished in terrible conditions the boats should never had
sailed.
Tony Irwin spoke to Ken Bovington about the situation at a later date and fully
agreed with Ken that it is the skippers decision to cancel not his.
Those of us who book trips know that if you cancel you are liable for the cost. (£800)
The final result for the club was very commendable this was a tremendouse result
considering this was the first attempt.
